Posted by Vickie Meola (Bart's sister) Bart did relocate to Rockland County, where he continued to play in a number of bands. The longest running was Hit 'n' Run, and acoustic, and an electric version. Through the 1980's, they were well known at the Jersey shore, LBI, where they played 4 nights a week each summer at a place called Nardi's. The weekends were spent playing weddings mostly. The rest of the year they could be found in and around Rockland, Bergen, and Manhattan. Bart continued to play until his last gig on December 31, 1995. He passed away on January 3, 1996, and is still sorely missed by many. Luckily he left quite a few recordings to remember him by.
